All About
Twin Bear Cabin
We have created this website in hopes to make the "house manual" a thing of the past! This way you can access all the "Things to Do & Information" on the go whether you are looking for a place to eat while on the road (or on the john haha) OR sitting on the porch enjoying your morning coffee.

We have placed some great antiques around the cabin in hopes you will see and enjoy them! Our hope is to show our twins and all kids some of the items from "back in the day".

We truly want you to enjoy your stay and if there is anything else the cabin needs, please do not hesitate to let us know so we can figure it out for you!

Handmade Items
Jackson County’s location makes it a great spot to find handmade treasures of old-time Appalachian culture, like wooden bowls, quilts, soaps, woodcarvings, garden decor, hand-woven baskets and so much more. Whether in search of unique gifts, home decorations, jewelry, wood workings or leather, many regional artisans showcase their crafts at galleries or local boutiques. Walk through Main Street in Sylva and Historic Dillsboro, and step into the independent shops all around.
Traditional Markets
Jackson County embraces mountain traditions, and one of the area’s longstanding traditions is the art of pottery. Local potters showcase their talents in shops scattered about the county. Search the shelves for the perfect piece, whether it be Japanese-influenced drink mixers, face jugs, raku beads, or horsehair pottery made with dark black and red colors. Each potter in Jackson County tells a special story in their work that you can add to your collection.
